Art works (selected works) Depot
|
DePot Depot was a live performance at Street Level in Glasgow. It used secrets, submitted anonymously to a web site, as material in the performance. These sumbitted secrets were logged into a database on a computer in the performance space. Via an earpiece, the secrets were relayed randomly to me by the computer, along with a number. Each member of the audience on entry to the space been given a random numbered ticket. When I called out their number an audience member would approach me to have a secret whispered into their ear. After the performance the secrets became a part of other peoples' memory and context. The secrets themselves became a commodity as people began to swap their secrets or keep them to themselves.
